CHAPTER 1: OVERVIEW
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE ASSEMBLY
The assembly needs to be done exactly as per the instructions given. Please do not skip the instructions and read all the assembly steps carefully, even if you have a very good technical background. If a step is skipped or done wrong, it could damage the bike or compromise the ride's safety.
HOW TO USE THIS MANUAL
This manual contains several chapters, and each chapter contains several steps. Each step has a descriptive paragraph and some photos/videos. For steps that are the same between multiple models, the bike used in photos/videos might be a different model, but the steps will be exactly the same for your bike as well.
This manual explains the assembly instructions mainly. After the assembly is done, please read our online user guide, which includes important information regarding safety checks before your first ride, maintenance tips, safety measurements, etc.
IMPORTANT: For the assembly steps, please first thoroughly read each step and view all the related photos/videos before proceeding with performing the step.
If you face any difficulties during the assembly, please contact us via the websiteβs live chat.
If there are any mistakes in the manual or any information that needs to be added or revised for a better assembly experience, please let us know via the live chat.
TOOLS REQUIRED
All tools required for the assembly comes with the bike. In addition to the tools provided you will need a scissor and plyers to finish the assembly.
CHAPTER 2: OPENING THE BOX
STEP 1
Cut the plastic straps off the box.
STEP 2
Open the carton flaps and take care so that the staples do not cut you. Remove the protective foams, the front carrier and the small accessories box.
STEP 3
Lay the carton on the floor and then pull the bike out of the carton (Preferably with someoneβs help).
It is better to put a mat in front of the carton so that the bike frame does not get scratched. Then put the bike in a standing position but do not put the bike on kickstand.
IMPORTANT: Please note until the front wheel is assembled, the bike is not stable in a standing position.
So please lean it against a wall or have someone hold the bike until the front wheel assembly step is done (when you will be able to put the bike on the kickstand).
CHAPTER 3: REMOVING PROTECTIVE MATERIAL
STEP 1
Remove all protective material from the bike.
IMPORTANT: Please take care so that the bike frame does not get scratched.
STEP 2
Remove plastic protectors from both sides of the front wheel.
STEP 3
Open the accessories box, which includes the charger, basic assembly tools, pedals, front light, front wheel quick-release skewer, and touch-up paint. After all protective materials are removed, your bike should look similar to to the photo below.
IMPORTANT: The Front carrier will come in a seperate box. If it has not arrived yet, please check the shipping details that were provided to you via email for the latest shipping updates.
CHAPTER 4: HANDLEBARS ASSEMBLY
CHAPTER 5: INSTALLING THE FRONT WHEEL
CHAPTER 6: INSTALLING THE FRONT MUDGUARD
CHAPTER 7: INSTALLING THE FRONT CARRIER
This step is only necessary if you have decided to purchase the bike with the front L carrier. It is not included with the purchase of the bike.
CHAPTER 8: INSTALLING THE FRONT LIGHT
If the L carrier is not installed on the bike, please skip to 4:18 in the video to see where to mount the front light
CHAPTER 9: ASSEMBLING THE PEDALS
CHAPTER 10: ADJUSTING THE BRAKES
This video from Parktool is quite comprehensive for the alignment and adjustment of mechanical disk brakes. If you continue to have issues with the brakes please reach out to us via phone, email, or live chat.
CHAPTER 11: PUMPING THE TYRES
STEP 1
Pump front and rear tyres. Tyre pressure should be in the range specified on the tyre. Inflating the tyre to the correct pressure is essential for a comfortable ride. We generally recommend inflating the tyres to the middle of the range specified (45-50 PSI for this bike). Lower tyre pressure (35 psi - 40 psi) is for riding on soft terrains (such as sand) where you need more grip. If the tyres are inflated to the max range (70 PSI), the ride will become harsh; however, it will decrease the chance of getting a puncture and the bike can go faster and easier due to less tyre resistance. A properly inflated tyre (which usually means a tyre that has not been inflated to the max PSI), is as essential as the bike suspension in making the ride comfortable.
IMPORTANT: While pumping the tyres, stop a few times and ensure the tyre bead has been seated all the way properly around the rim. If the bead starts moving up anywhere, deflate a bit, squeeze and push the bead to get it even all around and continue inflating. If any part of the tube comes out of the rim during tyre inflation, it could lead to tube burst. In a properly seated tire, the bead line β the thin line moulded low on each sidewall β will be just above the rim all the way around on both sides.
