ASSEMBLY GUIDE
1- OVERVIEW
1x 15mm Wrench
1x 18mm Wrench
1x 4mm Alen key
1x 5mm Alen key
2- Opening the box
STEP 1
Cut the plastic straps around the bike carton
STEP 2
Open the carton and remove the protective foam around the bike, front carrier box and the small accessories box
STEP 3
With the help of someone take the bike out of the box or alternatively lay the carton on the floor and pull the bike out of the carton (photo 8). In the latter case, It is better to put a mat in front of the carton so that the bike frame does not get scratched.
3- Removing protective materials
STEP 1
IMPORTANT: Please take care so that the bike frame does not get scratched.
STEP 2
Your bike should look the same as that in photo below, next remove all foam from the bike.
4- Front Wheel Assembly & Handlebar
STEP 1
5mm allen key, remove bolt, black top cap, silver cylinder and 1x black stem spacer (not required) and put aside.
We will install the stem/handlebar lightly to get it out of the way to continue with the wheel assembly.
Next - To change the angle of the stem, push plastic button with thumb.
Secure stem into desired angle, then slide stem over fork steerer and prepare to tighten the main stem bolt.
Then lift the clasp back up to gain access to stem bolt - tighten the 5mm stem bolt inside the stem from the top - This one may need quite a few turns until tight enough.
Note: Please do not increase the angle of the bendable stem over 45%. By doing so will make the handling of the bike more difficult. It's optimum position is as shown in photo below.
If in doubt about the assembly of anything in this manual, please book in with your local bike shop to check for final assembly. Dirodi does not cover this cost. You can also supply the bike shop with this manual for reference (especially pictures for headset assembly).
STEP 2
Next, install the front mudguard onto the fork before the wheel. Use 5mm/4mm allen key, remove all 3 bolts, then place front light and mudguard on for installation. See photos for reference.
Connect front light cable (red). Care to line up pins, follow arrow on connector.
STEP 3
Insert the Quick Release skewer into the front wheel. The lever side should be on the disc side.
Remove the fork base plate. Remove the black plastic brake insert from brake and insert wheel into fork. The bike should be safe to stand on its own while installing the wheel.
Front wheel, mudguard and front light are now complete.
You can test the front brake alignment later in the guide or if you choose to adjust it now with 5mm allen key you can do so on the two securing bolts. From factory mostly it is perfect, some light riding can also fix any issues.
For reference on brake alignment, see photo below.
Letās move onto the handlebars.
5- Handlebars assembly
STEP 1
Again tighten this main stem bolt with 5mm allen key to ākissedā tight.
Next straighten the stem in line with the front wheel. This may take some time with your eye to make sure everything is straight. TIghten the 2x side clamp bolts on the neck of the stem.
These should be much tighter than the main stem bolt.
Double check if your main stem bolt is tight enough, by holding the bike frame frame with one hand and the stem with the other hand and rock back and forth.
Is there any movement in the bushings? Is the steering feeling overly stiff?
If there is slight movement, you could tighten the main bolt again, but you will need to loosen the 2x side clamp bolts before doing so.
If there steering is overly stiff, then the main bolt is too tight.
Find the right amount by a solid, but smooth feeling, secure the 2x side clamp bolts and stem alignment to wheel.
Then clamp down the handlebar system, at your desired handlebar angle.
-Factory setting should be a relative flat setting of the grips angle to the ground.
For further assistance with stem alignment, move your eye slightly to one side, looking down the stem and tyre for 2 references and tighten the side clamp bolt.
For finishings, cover all of the components on the handlebars to check tightness.
Display 3mm allen key, keypad buttons 3mm, brake lever reach 2mm (clockwise to widen for XL hands), screwdriver for bell.
Example of brake lever reach adjustment, clockwise to widen, counter clockwise to bring closer for XS hands.Recommended, screw until small bolt is flush with the opening or to your liking.
7- Front Carrier Assembly (Optional)
STEP 1
Please assemble the front carrier as shown in the photos below, front light can be moved to mount under the rack.
STEP 2
Remove the screw from the light mount as shown in the photo below. Then install the front light as shown in the photos below. You may tie the light cable by using the cable ties provides in one or two points to the front carrier.
8- Pedal Assembly
STEP 1
IMPORTANT: This step is sensitive and if done wrong, the threads on the pedal or the crank might get stripped. You should tighten the pedals by hand all the way and then fully tighten them using a wrench. If you canāt tighten the pedal all the way by hand, please contact the support.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure the pedals are fully tightened otherwise pedals can gradually get loosened and strip the crank arm threads.
Tighten the right pedal to the right crank by turning it clockwise by hand (photo 1). You should be able to tighten the pedal almost all the way down by your hand.
STEP 2
Tighten the left pedal to the left crank by turning it anti-clockwise by hand. You should be able to tighten the pedal almost all the way down by your hand.
STEP 3
Tighten both pedals fully by using a wrench. Please ensure both pedals are fully tightened. Under tightened pedals could gradually get loose, which will result in a stripped pedal and crank arm.
9- Adjusting the brakes
TOOLS REQUIRED -5mm Allen Key
Bike should not be turned on for these operations.
Brakes are adjusted in the factory but due to parts movement during shipment, some adjustments might be required especially for the front brake as the front wheel is installed by the customer. The rear brake is already adjusted and should not require any further adjustment.
To adjust the brake, please loosen (not remove) the two bolts highlighted in the photo below and then try to gradually move the brake calliper so that the disk becomes perfectly centred between the right and left brake pads.
If in doubt, do not attempt this step. This module is for an extra layer of fine tuning, consult your local bike shop or watch this guide for further knowledge.

10- Adjusting the gears
TOOLS REQUIRED -Phillips Screwdriver
Bike should not be turned on for these operations.
From box the gears should be in line, but because it is a new bike the cable can significantly stretch over the first month of your bike being in use.
To counter this, double click shifter to prestretch. But no not force the unit. Also using the barrel adjuster on the shifter or the derailleur, turn the barrel unit counter clockwise by 180deg/half turn.
Also check the 1st/lightest/lowest gear. Once in this gear, pull the cable where it is exposed by the chain and take a look from the rear of the bike at the derailleur. The derailleur should move into the bike wheel a little bit. If the derailleur is moving more than 2mm from the lowest gear, then use screwdriver on the L-limit screw, turning half turn clockwise and test. Test that the gear shifts are same as were before.
If in doubt, do not attempt this step. This module is for an extra layer of fine tuning, consult your local bike shop or watch this guide for further knowledge.

IMPORTANT: The laws around the use of electric bikes on public lands, roads and areas vary from state to state. We recommend you always check your local council and road traffic laws prior to using a bike to ensure you are aware of any restrictions that may affect the use of motorised vehicles. Always use appropriate protective riding equipment such as an approved helmet and suitable clothing.
