1000W Electric Bikes

An electric bicycle 1000w buyer isn't chasing extra speed on the road, they're after the strongest motor DiroDi builds for their own patch of dirt: steep farm tracks, loose sand, gravel, and loads a lighter bike would struggle to shift. This tier is DiroDi's most powerful, built specifically for private property and off-road riding, not public roads or shared paths. If you've got acreage, a farm, or your own trail network, this is the one built for you.

DiroDi Electric Bikes

1000W Electric Bikes, Built for Australia

A 1000 W motor is as strong as DiroDi builds, with up to 95 Nm of torque and a 52 V battery pack behind it, more than enough for the terrain that matters most out on private land: steep tracks, loose sand or gravel, and loads that would stall a lighter bike. It's worth being upfront: this tier isn't intended for public roads or shared paths in any mode, unlike DiroDi's 250 W range. It's built purely for private property and off-road use, where that extra torque actually gets used.

Why choose 1000W Electric Bikes?

Here's what 1000 W actually gets you:

DiroDi's strongest motor torque for steep, loose, or heavy-load terrain

Wide fat tyres and a sturdy frame built for genuine off-road stability

Higher load capacity for hauling gear, tools, or supplies around the property

Rack and pannier mounts, with baskets and racks for longer days off-road

Need a bike for public roads or shared paths instead? Our cruiser e bikes and Electric road bikes include public-road configurations; select a compliant model for your state's rules. After a milder version of this same off-road platform? Our fat tyre e-bikes deliver the same fat-tyre stability with less peak power for a gentler introduction to off-road riding. How to choose your 1000W Electric Bike

Motor and power:

1000 W is DiroDi's maximum motor power rating, built specifically for private property and off-road riding. This tier is not intended for public roads or shared paths in any mode, regardless of assist setting or speed, and it should not be assumed eligible for road registration. Need something road-legal? Our 250W range is built for exactly that, with the required pedal-assist and throttle limits for your state.

Battery and range:

Expect somewhere between 40 and 125 km per charge, depending on battery size, rider weight, terrain, and load. Steep, loose, or heavily loaded riding sits toward the lower end of that range, while lighter loads on flatter tracks stretch it further. A full charge from a standard wall socket takes a few hours, so plan charging while you are awake and at home, and disconnect the charger when charging is complete.

Frame and fit:

A wide fat-tyre stance and sturdy frame give the stability this power needs off-road, with a higher load capacity for gear, tools, or a second rider. Match frame size and load rating to your height and the terrain you'll actually ride.

Essential urban security and safety

Loading up at home, a trailhead, or a farm gate calls for the same care as parking in the city, even when there's no traffic in sight. Wear a properly fitted pair of e-bike helmets for the speeds this power delivers, and secure the bike with e-bike locks whenever it's left unattended, whether that's a shed, a ute tray, or a gate. These bikes handle light-to-moderate rain fine, but heavy downpours and standing water are best avoided.

1000w electric bike FAQs

What does “1000W” mean?

1000 W is our strongest motor power rating, built for private property and off-road riding, not extra speed on the road. It's the tier for steep, loose, or heavy-load terrain a lighter motor would struggle with.

Is a 1000W electric bike legal on public roads in Australia?

No. This tier is built for private property and off-road use only, not public roads or shared paths, in any mode. Need a road-legal bike instead? Our 250w electric bikes are the range for that.

How far can I ride a 1000W e-bike before recharging?

Most riders get between 40 and 125 km per charge, depending on battery size, rider weight, terrain, and load. Steep or heavily loaded riding sits toward the lower end of that range.

Will a 1000W motor handle steep or loose terrain?

Yes. DiroDi's strongest torque plus wide fat tyres give real grip and stability on steep, loose, or heavy-load ground, exactly what this tier is built for.

Can I ride a 1000W e-bike in the rain?

These bikes are water-resistant for light-to-moderate rain, so a shower on the property is fine. They're not waterproof, so avoid heavy downpours, deep puddles, or submerging any part of the bike.
